Always replace burned-out fuses with ones of the same amperage (printed on the fuse) and note that if a fuse continues to “blow,” you should have the circuit checked professionally by one of our technicians for defects.
The retrofit kits that you find at your local store, come with instructions of their own but there are a few things it doesn’t tell you. Like, you need to completely flush the air conditioning system of all R-12, R-12 and R134a cannot be in the same system or it will lock up the compressor. Also, you need to replace the accumulator and orifice tube at the same time before following the instructions that came with the retrofit kit. Better yet, save yourself time and costly mistakes by letting your mechanic retrofit your air conditioning for you.
